Goals For CAS

Creativity:
As a creativity leader and member of the COMUN 2015 executive comity, and hopefully as part of the 2016 executive comity, my goal is to expand and improve my leadership skills. This is my first time being a teacher of those younger than me. I will be teaching 7th graders how to debate. My goal is to explore more creative and effective teaching techniques during the preparation for the conference.

In my personal writing my goal is to push my self to complete more personal pieces and to expand my comfort zones. (Note: I am only counting that which I write to share without profit for CAS, though I will blog about all of it. Every Piece of writing I blog about with be identified by it's purpose). I tend to stick to my preferred genre (Horror) and to characters that tend to be monotonous. During the course of the next two years I want to force my self out of my writing comfort zone by exploring new forms and genres of literary writing.

I will also be exploring acing in local theater, and want to expand my versatility as an actor. Yet sense I don't yet now exactly what extent i will be involved in the community I will wait to add more precise goals till after I have been cast.

Action:
I will be participating in Yoga classes held by the school and in Box-Fit classes held of campus. Through these I am aiming to improve my flexibility and cardiovascular health both of which I have left untended for far to long. I also aim to help correct my posture to avoid the family tendency to have problems in the fifth and 6 vertebrae

During the school year I will be participating in several drives and be working towards completing my advanced diver certification.  My goal is to expand my abilities in scuba diving and to provide my self with a better outlet to connect with nature and participate in conservation methods.

Service:
While working with the pursuit of happiness project my goal will be not only to hone my skills as a photojournalist but to also explore ways of making a positive difference through storytelling. This is not just a goal for me through service but one that really shapes my life. In my personal storytelling I aim to create positive representation for people like my self, queer non-binary neuro-divergent, individuals, who rarely get positive representation in the media. I consider that to be a form of service to my community as well.

I will also be working with several LGBT education programs to spread awareness and education about sexuality and gender throughout Sri Lanka. However, I do not yet know what the extent of my work with them yet will be so as with local theater I will update my goals to be more precise once I have made more precise arrangements.
